we stayed up all night
I really like this song, plus I thought it went well enough with these images. I hope you enjoy this one, while reading this post :)
I feel this week's outfit is a must for every girl/woman's wardrobe. The LBD (Little Black Dress). As a staple item, I think this version of the LBD is so current that it needed its own outfit post.
I love how the shoulder cut-outs accentuate the bare shoulders and onset of collar bones. I think this aspect makes the dress a little sexier by showing off a bit of skin in areas where it would not normally. As oppose to your standard LBD with no peepholes or cut-outs in the dress. Also, the flared sleeves give it that feminine touch providing this dress with the perfect sexy/feminine ratio. How often do we get to find a given dress which offers both aspects? It's genius, I think.
I really enjoyed its wearability seen as it is made of a very comfortable and stretchable ribbed fabric. Hence, super easy to move in and not constricting by any means.
At the time, I only had block heeled booties and did not think it to be the best pairing with this dress as it would have devalued its femininity. So, I've opted for these flat studded booties instead. It turned out good seen as I personally prefer mixing and matching contradicting items together. I am not the type to wear this LBD with perhaps an expected pair of slingback and/or strappy heels. Not that there is anything wrong with that. On the contrary. Only that I've never been one for perfectly matching my style/outfits. Having said that, you may always choose to wear a nice pair of slingbacks with this dress should this option deem itself more relevant to yourself, for whatever formal occasion.
